Bingo! I am pretty sure after installing ESX, you will still have to do custom MIBs to poll for disk volumes. You will NOT get that information when just selecting the polling for VMWare option. UCS is not like a normal server. I am using B series blades and get no volume information when polling ESX with SNMP. SNMP will work for ESX 5 and 5.1 for sure. I am doing it now and using SNMPv3. Not sure about 5.5 yet. There are MIBs to poll for the disk volumes in UCS. I am going to put something together and see if it will come up correctly in a view.
