The reason you lost variables akhasheni is because you changed the monitor type from SAM monitor (APM: Application) to SAM component. (APM: Component).
That part I do get. What I don't get is why a variable can be used as a trigger condition - cannot be used in the trigger action (e.g. in the body of the email).
Say, I want to trigger an alert on a condition of a component being down (or having non-zero stats value) and the application tier being less than 10. I also want (well, "need", really) to include that application tier in it so an admin knows the importance of it, and can decide whether he can finish his soup first, or get right to it.
So here I go whining again: WHY? Why can't I send application tier in the email when I can check for it in trigger conditions?
Are component alerts the only ones where trigger actions are somewhat crippled?
